The Swedish Heart Lung Foundationis a charitable fundraising organisation that awards money for winning heart-lung research. Today, more people die from cardiovascular disease than from any other cause. Millions of people are affected, suffer and die from diseases of the heart, blood vessels and lungs. Regardless of age – everyone can be affected, but no one should have to die prematurely. That’s the dream the Swedish Heart Lung Foundation fights for every day. Thanks to donations from the Swedish people, the Swedish Heart Lung Foundation has contributed to research that, among other things, has extended the life expectancy of heart attack sufferers by 12 extra years and supported revolutionary breakthroughs such as the pacemaker.
The Swedish Heart Lung Foundation has grown over several years in line with increased activity. As the business grew, the operational HR processes needed to be strengthened, as did the strategic work on organisational development from perspectives such as goal management, leadership, employee management and cultural work.
