Carnegie Fonder is an independent fund management company founded in 1988. The investment philosophy is based on long-term investing, modern portfolio theory and innovation. All funds are managed with the aim to deliver value added in three dimensions; return, risk and correlations. Assets under management is approximately SEK 90 billion. This makes Carnegie Fonder one of the Sweden’s largest fund managers after the major Swedish banks. The company has 60 employees.

 

Background

The cooperation between Sweden HR Group and Carnegie Fonder started in 2017. At that time, Carnegie needed support with operational HR tasks such as payroll coordination, contracts, and advising on employment law. When the current CEO, Andreas Uller took over in 2021, Carnegie Fonder grew as new employees and managers were recruited. This also meant that the focus for the work of Sweden HR group shifted. Since 2021 Carnegie Fonder has chosen to outsource its full HR strategy and operations to Sweden HR group.

 

Solutions & Results

The assignment is carried out a couple of fixed days per week by an internal HR team at Sweden HR group. The team consists of operational and strategic HR resources who together ensure that the right task gets the right skills. This allows Carnegie Fonder to have the function of an entire HR department.

 

At the beginning of the collaboration, operational HR processes were formalised – but due to Carnegie Fonders growth, strategic organisational development processes were needed. Sweden HR group assisted with strategic processes to ensure a sustainable growth rate where employees thrive, and managers are properly supported.

 

Sweden HR group has led and executed:

  • New process for the recruitment process, onboarding process and offboarding process
  • Support in goal management process
  • Acting as manager support, creating, and facilitating manager forums
  • Conducted management training and leadership training for new and existing managers
